Firstly, the service was good—the lady with glasses who was looking after the outdoor area was efficient and attentive. It’s a place my friends really like, and I had the chance to try it with them. We ordered a burger, fries, a fillet steak, baby chicken and rigatoni, followed by cheesecake for dessert. The chicken and steak were good, but the rest were quite average. The cheesecake was good. The atmosphere and location are nice, which I think is what makes this place so appealing. Personally, I wouldn’t come back for the food alone. I had a great experience at 74 Duke. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming relaxed but still special enough to feel like a treat. Every dish we ate had well balanced flavours with that classic Parisian attention to detail. It felt like a little taste of Paris right in the heart of town. What truly made the evening stand out though, was the service from Fabio. He was attentive without being overbearing, genuinely friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He gave great recommendations and made us feel completely at ease. It’s rare to come across service that feels both professional and personal, but Fabio absolutely nailed it. Overall, a brilliant dining experience and a great place to catch-up with friends. Great food, lovely atmosphere, and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back. Used to come here to grab a lunch after shopping, so this afternoon I was craving their cookies and soft serve after already having lunch elsewhere/ When I was already sat at the table the waiter/manager told me that I “have to have a substantial meal”, and am not “allowed” to just have a coffee and a dessert. Mind you it was around 3:30pm, the restaurant was only half full, and I was going to be done and out of their hair in 30mins! What is this nonsense policy? Won’t be coming back, even though I liked the place prior to that situation. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
