Went there months ago with friend. Tbh dishes are delicious despite a bit small portion. What impressed me the most that night (that I even want to comment after months when reminded) was the waitress kept rushing us to leave. It was about one hour and I viewed it normal duration. She kept coming over and asked whether we have finished the meal. After we said no for the second time, she exchanged an eye with the waiter and they seemed very upset at us. I asked about whether they have time restriction for a table when paying, he said yes it should be around 1 to 1.5 hours. The problem is, no one told us so, and how were we supposed to know? Plus our duration ended up to be just around 1.5 hours. Why so eager in making us leave space? Or you could just inform us in a polite way? Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Absolute thai is the best thai restaurant in Edinburgh by miles. The Penang tofu is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Truly a hidden gem. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Pad Thai, Spring Roll, Panang Tofu Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection, Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes

Awful experience here, wouldn’t go back. Food was lovely but the customer service was shocking to say the least. We requested a pre-theatre menu which was not honoured. We then ordered from the main menu and were told to leave the restaurant after 1.25 hours due to other bookings. The place was half empty. Rude staff with zero customer service skills. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
