I had a really uncomfortable experience here and feel it’s worth sharing. I stepped in briefly to use the restroom and let staff know that my boyfriend would be purchasing a drink, so we weren’t trying to take advantage of the space. While I was in the restroom, the owner began loudly lecturing my boyfriend in front of other customers about the “customers only” policy, even though he was actively trying to order. The tone and volume felt completely unnecessary and honestly quite humiliating. Several people turned to look, and it created an awkward, public scene over what could have been handled with a simple, calm clarification. I understand that businesses have policies around restroom use. That’s completely fair. But there’s a big difference between enforcing a policy and doing so in a way that feels respectful. This interaction felt dismissive and disproportionate, especially given that we were in the process of becoming paying customers. It left a really negative impression. I hope the staff consider how they communicate with people in the future, because no one should feel embarrassed like that over such a minor situation. We had an amazing time at this restaurant, from the moment we walked in until we left, there are loads of options in the area but I wanted to try this restaurant out as I love Greek and Cypriot cuisines, 10/10 for everything, lovely and friendly staff members. The food was delicious, for starters we got the mixed platter and some grilled prawns, the giant beans were delicious!!! For our mains I got the pork souvlaki and my friend got the lamb souvlaki both came with chips and a huge salad. The portions are humongous so go when you are hungry, I look forward to going again if I get the chance. We were given free complementary hot drinks at the end of our meal which was a lovely touch. Honestly Iam glad I tried AETOS TAVERNA. All good. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
