Yesterday we ordered takeaway for 5 people from Alborz Restaurant in Köln. Unfortunately, every single dish was disappointing: Koobideh, Barg, Ghorme Sabzi, Gheymeh Bademjan, and Ash Reshteh. None of them tasted even close to how authentic Persian food should taste. What makes this especially sad is that this restaurant used to serve excellent food years ago. My wife reminded me that we had the same disappointing experience about a year ago when we dined there in person, so this clearly was not a one-time issue. For the prices they charge, customers deserve quality food prepared by someone who actually knows Persian cooking. At this point, I honestly cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone until the kitchen quality improves significantly.
