I had an amazing experience here this weekend. We came for a wedding reception and had the whole place to ourselves. The food was delicious. It was so fresh and flavorful and I enjoyed it all. The servers were very friendly and attentive, always noticing when I needed more water or anything else. The facility itself was clean and nicely decorated, and I love the fresh towels in the bathroom. I would highly recommend!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a lovely dinner at Alma while visiting Toronto. Overall the dishes were good, creative Asian fusion at a level that justifies the price. The chicken wings were an unexpected highlight, and the scallion bao with straciatella were absolutely divine. The rest of our dishes were good but not overly memorable. Service was decent and the atmosphere was fine, although I felt bad for anyone seated near the door - it felt a bit overstuffed and like there were a few more tables than the restaurant could really fit. Price per person: CA$100+ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Came here with three others and had high hopes given the Michelin recognition, but we left unsatisfied. The food was tasty, but the portions felt small and the dishes lacked substance and creativity. It came across as smaller, refined versions of dishes you’d find at dim sum—at a much higher price point. Service was polite but felt cold and mechanical, lacking warmth or personality. For a restaurant at this level, we expected a more engaging experience. I really want to support Asian-inspired cuisine, but hospitality is such a core part of it—no guest should leave hungry. We spent over $550 for four people and ended up grabbing McDonald’s afterward. For a better balance of portion, value, and flavor, a place like the Lunch Lady on Ossington is a good benchmark—they deliver satisfying portions with more approachable pricing.
