We couldn’t get cream tea in the cafe so went for lunch at the Anchor and were not disappointed! Friendly bar server, lovely menu and delicious food. My mom had the children’s fish and chips which was perfect for her small appetite. Maybe it should just be called small plate for smaller appetites. My son and friend had the main fish and chips and it was delicious! I had the chicken salad with a side of very yummy chips. I often judge a pub on the cleanliness of the loos and the quality of the chips and neither disappointed! I would love to go back and stay in one of the rooms. Service: 5

Great stay at a great place. All staff and owners are very friendly en helpful. F.e. by bringing us to Hartland Quay for our walk of the South West Coast Path. Our room was excellent; think we had the biggest room of the hotel, good shower and bed. The bar was 'gezellig' with a shanty singing group and the food was very tasty for a fair price! So what could we want more.. Service: 5

Hartland is an amazing quiet place full of charm. The anchor inn is a fantastic pub, great live music, with Sunday lunches to die for. Our room was lovely, having our own living room and bathroom too, making it a nice 3 room private space for us. Special mention to Meg and Laura who helped us navigate the area and made us feel extremely welcome and looked after throughout our stay. Fantastic!
