I had a very disturbing experience with Anikky’s food handling tonight, and I feel it’s important to share it so others can make informed decisions. My friends and I ordered a tray of peppered chicken, and it turned into a very unpleasant experience. As we ate, we discovered live maggots inside multiple pieces of the chicken. They were hidden within the meat and around the bones, and became visible when the chicken was bitten into. We immediately contacted the seller to report what we found. The response we received was an apology, along with the statement that the chicken had been fried the previous day. Finding live maggots in prepared food is completely unacceptable, regardless of when it was cooked. This experience was deeply upsetting, and we had to stop eating immediately. Please exercise caution when ordering food. I sincerely hope food handling and quality control are taken much more seriously going forward so that no one else has to go through an experience like this. Anikky's Kitchen is the best for Nigerian cooked food in Barrie. Been ordering since 2021 with no issues. Every meal has been very delicious. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Recommended dishes: Assorted Meat, And Assorted Meat Stew
