I’ve just eaten a delicious chicken burger and cheesy chips from Archie’s and have to say it’s the best I’ve had in a long time! (Not that I have them often!) Staff were friendly, polite and the security guard on the door was extra attentive. Thank you. Lovely place for a treat!! Would recommend ***** Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I’ve been a loyal customer of Archie’s on Oxford Road since the early days when their burgers actually tasted great and felt worth the price. Back then the flavour, quality, and portions made it one of my go-to spots in Manchester. Unfortunately, after visiting again a few days ago, it’s clear things have gone downhill. The burgers are nothing like they used to be. The patties are now unbelievably thin—honestly the thinnest I’ve ever seen. The edges were so overcooked and brittle that the corners were literally crunching and breaking off while eating. It felt more like eating scraps than a proper burger. Then there are the chips. They used to have a good variety—curly fries, crinkle fries, and options that actually felt a bit different. Now it’s just basic, cheap-looking potato fries. On top of that, the cheese sauce had a really unpleasant smell that completely ruined the taste. It honestly made the whole meal worse. (Ordered 2 superstar burgers and cheesy fries - cost about £25 which is the worst part about it with prices for the worst quality After supporting this place for years, it’s disappointing to see the quality drop so much. What used to be a place known for tasty burgers and decent sides now feels like it’s cutting corners everywhere. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
