A true hidden gem in the GTA We came for the food — and Arsenio’s Kitchen absolutely delivered. My husband was so excited to finally find a spot that serves his favorites, pares and balbacua. Balbacua wasn’t available tonight, but after how much he loved the Pares Overload (which definitely pleased his very meticulous palate!), we’re already planning to come back this weekend to try Kuya Arsenio’s version. If it’s anything like the pares, we know it’ll be worth it. I had their tapsilog — perfectly marinated to my liking, honestly one of the best I’ve had here in Toronto — plus my all-time favorite, La Paz batchoy. One spoonful and I was transported back to childhood food trips with my family, hunting for the best batchoy and lomi from Laguna to Batangas The place may not be the coziest or most aesthetic, but we came for the cooking — and that’s what truly matters. Kuya Arsenio’s generous Filipino hospitality, the kuwentos, and that genuine Pinoy warmth made the experience even more special. So happy we discovered this gem. We recently ordered from Arsenio's kitchen!. Glazed ham and ube cake to die for. Theyre really good, generous serving. Affordable Price! The owner John is really cool. Family is looking forward for future orders :)
