Went with family including 2 young children who were sleeping at the time so walked them round the prem is only to be met by a very rude resident. There were no signs that we couldn't walk around the grounds but this resident was incredibly rude and put us off our meal which we rushed to get out of there. Put in a complaint but didn't hear back which is disappointing so won't return. If your residents don't want people coming then don't advertise a restaurant to the public. Such a shame. Food was ok but hard to enjoy after this. Not really a place for kids. Meal type: Lunch Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

Was visiting the area with my boyfriend and came here as it was a short walk away. Very pleasantly surprised! Google Maps sends you the wrong way sometimes but when we did find it, the service was very friendly and helpful, and the food was exceptional. I had the haddock and chips, and he had the red mullet risotto. It was a very quiet night there but it still made for a nice atmosphere and the interior is particularly elegant. Excellent service, great food, and a thoughtfully designed venue. From booking to directions and table service, everything was effortless and welcoming. We visited for my mum’s 79th birthday, and as a mobility scooter user, she found access seamless - no steps or awkward thresholds, and plenty of space to park beside the dinning table. The staff were attentive and clearly experienced in supporting older guests, making our whole party feel comfortable and cared for. They also had colouring sheets and crayons for my daughter. The food was delicious and good value - three courses for £30, all tasting freshly made. Even the children’s meal matched the same quality and attention to detail (and they kindly offered a second portion!). The space was calm and well laid out, with acoustic comfort thanks to carpets and curtains - a small touch that made a big difference. An excellent dining experience from ages 9 to 79 - no small feat. We’ll definitely be back!
