We went to august 8 on a weekday for their dinner menu! They serve decent quality sashimi and their sushi rolls are also delicious. However, their short ribs were the worst ribs i have ever tried in any ayce restaurants. There were barely any meat, all fat and I had to spit it out every time I took a bite because of how weird the texture and taste were. The dessert menu here is also limited and also the aesthetic of this restaurant was quite underwhelming. Overall, first time trying this restaurant but most likely the last. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

I typically go here during the weekday around the end of the lunch menu, but decided to come for the dinner menu on Saturday in the evening. I can understand how busy the weekend is and being somewhat short staffed, but there was a lot of miscommunication regarding food allergies which were mentioned prior to ordering, and four times after that. My partner ended up having an allergic reaction and had to take two allergy pills. After, we asked for the rest of the food ordered to be served with no sauce, and then a server came to our table to say the garlic sauce used for the torched items is made out of house and they did not know what it contained. Service at this location is usually good, but tonight it was extremely poor, the presentation was extremely messy, the salmon teriyaki was rubbery/fatty, the raindrop roll looked extremely rushed, and overall it was not worth paying the extra money for the “premium” items. Just go on a weekday and save yourself the hassle. (Pictured are weekday vs weekend presentation/food quality). Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

I went to August 8 for Japanese food. I’m not really a big fan of sashimi, so I chose to go at lunchtime. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. At lunch, you can order from both the lunch and dinner all-you-can-eat menus, which was nice. I think at night you can only order from the dinner menu, and a lot of the dinner options are sashimi, which isn’t that appealing to me. We ended up ordering a lot of fried items, and honestly, it got a bit greasy after a while. They seem to like coating many of their fried dishes with a kind of egg yolk layer, which gives it a unique texture, but eating too much of it can feel heavy. The sushi was okay but not very memorable, and not really my personal taste. The ice cream, though, was really good. Drinks were a bit expensive — canned Coke was about $3.99 each. It might actually be a good idea to bring your own drink, especially since there’s so much fried food and it can get a little overwhelming. One thing to note is that they charge a 2.4% fee for credit card payments. The servers were very quick to clear plates, which I appreciated, so I tipped well.
