Best chippy! The food is hot, fresh and delicious and the service comes with a smile. They made our nightcelebrating my daughter's 16th - she had the choice of a posh dinner out but preferred her favourite fish supper and it didn't disappoint. The extra touch of birthday wishes on the bags was a cherry on the top! Thanks guys. Xx Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips

Got the hoagie(doner,chips,cheese in a wrap)with chilli sauce and garlic mayo...oooof, 10/10 There was a queue but it moved really fast. Service was good Parking sucks but that's not the takeaways fault, Edinburgh councils signs are a nightmare for tourists. Price per person: £10–20 Dietary restrictions: They've got very clear signs about ingredients.

I opted to try the ambiguous "box salad" after it was recommended to me by a friend as being the 7th best salad in the greater Edinburgh area. Now I wouldn't go as far as to label myself as a salad connoisseur or anything but one might say my love for the "green stuff" is akin to Donald Trump's love of Big Macs and the Soviet Union. My culinary mantra is “mangez vrai” (which translates to, “eat true”) and its obvious that Bar B Que Fish & Chips Takeaway share the same philosophy with their ability to elevate simple—even cheap— garden fresh ingredients into Michelin-star-worthy fare. With a mix of radicchio and cabbage leaves that might easily be mistaken as organic vegetables from the jardin du Baumanière himself, I was pleasantly surprised by the bold addition of both white AND red onions. Adorned with all manner of exciting diced root vegetables, this bright boxed salad dish is a true feast for the senses. I opted for a home-made vinegrette but don't hesitate to try the complimentary earthy brown sauce included on the side. Bon appetit ! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
