On Canada Day, just before the fireworks, my friend and I decided to have dinner here. The restaurant wasn't too busy, which made for a very relaxing atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing. The bison carpaccio and the oysters were both delicious, but the bison steak was on a whole different level—hands down one of the best steaks I've ever had. A special thank you to our server/bartender. He was incredibly friendly, funny, and attentive, and he definitely made our evening even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place. I'm already planning to come back with my boyfriend so he can try that incredible bison steak too! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Price per person: $80–90

I came to birdog to have a fun lunch with my cousin since we were both craving Italian food. I did a bit of research to find an Italian restaurant opened for lunch in the. It’s and landed on birdog because the lobster ravioli sounded great and the bison carpaccio peaked my interest. It looked to be a Canadian spin on Italian classics which melted my heart. I’m impressed by the level of service Francisco who was wearing every hat that afternoon showed us. He created us very warmly and seated us and quickly gave us ice cold water since outside was scorching hot. I saw on a menu posted on yelp that there was a pornstar martini that is no longer on the menu, but I asked Francisco his opinion on what drink I should order. He recommended the tulum rider which turned out to be very good but I really did have my heard set on the one I saw online from a past menu. He still offered to make it for us and did an excellent job!! That was the best anything I’ve ever put in my mouth. Put that back on the menu!!!!!!! The food was incredible. I definitely will be ordering the Margherita pizza the next time I’m there and the bison carpaccio. The ambiance was definitely giving luxury and I can’t wait to show this place off to my friends when they’re visiting in the city Thank you Francisco for a memorable experience!
