I was really disappointed with my recent order from Black Rooster Paisley. I ordered a chicken and salad bowl, and on my very first bite I found a black hair wrapped around my tooth and tangled in the chicken and lettuce. It made me feel physically sick, and I couldn’t eat the rest of the meal. No customer should have to experience finding a foreign object in food they’ve paid for, and it raised concerns about food hygiene and quality control. The one positive was that the supervisor I spoke to was polite, understanding and genuinely tried to help, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I was told I would receive a refund of £15.04, but only £11.00 has actually been refunded ( by just eat) so I’m still waiting for this to be resolved. As the meal total was £18. I’ve really enjoyed using this particular black rooster as the food has always been lovely but I’m afraid this will have put me off for a long time, especially when I’m out of pocket for food I could not eat due to the lack of precautions taken in the restaurant. I hope Black Rooster investigates how this happened and improves its food preparation procedures, as nobody should have their meal ruined in this way. The supervisor’s customer service was good, but the overall experience has left me very disappointed. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
