We were so disappointed with the whole experience. It is marketed as an Italian restaurant but I really don't understand how. The food was so bland, and really really strange. The strangest dish was the Bagna Calda. It was advertised as prepared vegetables and sourdough. It was in reality raw veg including a celery stick, raw broccoli, 3 carrot sticks, a couple of lettuce leaves, some thin breadsticks and a watery dip. It cost £10. We sent it back. We were left feeling hungry and had to go somewhere else to eat afterwards. The service was mediocre. We didn't particularly feel comfortable all night. When we commented on the above dish, there were no apologies or understanding, the waitress just said 'yes it is unusual.' At least we didn't have to pay for that dish. A couple of other minor gripes, there was a musty smell, and the menu being on the wall was awkward. You have to take photo over people standing at the bar and order that way. Seems pretentious for the sake of it. A bit like the food. Bacareto might be good if you're just having a drink, but would not recommend for food. Hi there, I'm really sorry to hear about your bad experience and can only apologise as we normally receive excellent reviews of our food and are very proud of what we serve.
