bar vendetta is a masterclass in hospitality. my friend and i sat at the bar and were taken care of by a bartender who was the definition of "textbook service"—so welcoming and charming, we honestly wished he’d just pull up a chair and join us. he suggested pairing the meatballs with the cheesy pull-apart bread, and he was spot on. for the mains, the cacio e pepe crown was a literal work of art—incredibly thoughtful execution—and the rapini provided the perfect hit of freshness. this is the kind of place you can take anyone to and be guaranteed a lovely, warm evening.
