I was in Toronto for property showings and needed a quick bite. As usual, I searched for a shawarma spot along my route, and Shawarma Day came up with solid reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I was greeted and served by Charlie (Chalak), the owner. I ordered the beef shawarma, and it did not disappoint. The wrap was packed with flavour, the seasoning was well balanced, and the spices complemented the beef perfectly. Beyond the food itself, I really enjoyed chatting with Charlie while he prepared my order. It’s always nice to meet owners who genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they serve. My only suggestion would be regarding the wrapping. The shawarma was quite juicy (which is a good thing), but it was wrapped with only a single piece of paper and some of the juices ended up dripping onto my shirt before I noticed. A second layer of paper or wrapping one paper on each end would make it easier to eat and help contain the juices. Overall, great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Had the mix Shawarma and it was amazing! The portion size was huge, the food was fresh and very tasty, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Great service and great food. Definitely coming back!

Shawarma Day is an amazingly great restaurant. The food is well cooked, the seasonings are well balanced, and the portion sizes are top-notch to a point you genuinely get a full meal out of it. I swear I would highly recommend this as a place to go, especially in person. The owner is such a great guy; he always makes good conversation with you while not letting it affect the quality of the food he serves. The restaurant is also fairly clean, which adds to the welcoming vibes I always get when I walk through the door. Also, he is patient and he doesn't rush or pressure you when you want to look at the menu before you order. And again, added with everything, the food is so good! I recommend it to all of my family and friends every time I go. Also, I'd recommend their Chicken Shawarma Poutine; it's sooooooo good! And I'd recommend their Chicken Shawarma plate with everything on it. I personally like it spicy, but go with what you like, spicy or not spicy, either way it's still really good and hits the spot. Not many places I recommend but this for sure is one of them. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
