TERRIBLE. What a waste of money! We did not see one staff member for about 10 minutes and there was only one other person in the place. I said... I could go behind the bar and make myself a drink. The food I'm sure was all previously frozen or came from a bag. The Calamari was sooo sooo bad. It was from a bag for sure. The staff can only work with what they are given. This owner needs Gordan Ramsey..... This place was a kitchen nightmare! Don't waste your money!!!

Worst experience ever.. As someone who has hopped Denny's and had my fair share of late night out food, I decided to give Blind Monk a try. It was just up the street and I've been eyeing it for awhile. Why not right?

I have never been more disappointed and for the first time in my life I sent food back. I'm not picky over my food, I've eaten divey pub food at 2am after working s theatre show and never batted an eye. I ordered a steak sandwich at Blind Monk thinking it would be decent (it's dead and 6 in the evening, no worries right?)

I've never been more wrong. The steak itself was cooked right (right meaning it was rare as I asked), the flavour however was that of a dirty grill. Fortunately they took it back and took it off my bill, I didn't want anything else, why risk it if you can't at least cook a decent steak (by decent, I'm looking for it to taste like a steak, not the bottom of a shoe).

Overall, service was slow and awkward and the food was trash. Ceilis up the road will continue to get my business and I'm more than happy to drive across the city for Donegals. Sorry to say, my first time at Blind Monk will certainly be my absolute last. 1 out of 10, will never eat again.

Service. Love the service I get.....all places have growing pains and it is hard to get quality servers/bartenders, but it seems like they have turned that corner. Keep it up.
