Blue Mango Indian Restaurant An absolute utter disgrace! As a frequent visitor to this restaurant, we booked this for our first wedding anniversary. The way the manager spoke to us was an utter disgrace and appalling in front of the whole restaurant. Because we commented that the starter was disappointing, we we given a barrage of abuse and threatened with the police by the manager. Stay well away from this utterly disgusting disgraceful place. As a professional in the community, I am utterly appalled at what we have just experienced. Homophobic, insolent and utterly abhorrent. Do not go to this restaurant unless you want to be faced with abuse. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: £40–50

Nestled quietly in the middle of rainhill shopping square, the blue mango restaurant stands apart from the closed shops and the empty spaces. It is hiding in plain sight, a delight to taste, and at a reasonable price. We stayed for a Monday night meal, with the restaurant having plenty of space at 7pm. The decor is clean and styled nicely, the staff well majored, respectful and pleasant. Our drinks order was taken promptly and tasted great when they arrived. I had an old fashioned cocktail, and a beer. The wife enjoyed a pina colada and a lager with lime. Both very tasty, both great measures. For starters... Poppadoms and mixed kebab, then a mix of 2 mains. dansak and dupiaza with a side of pilau rice and Peshawar naan. The food was fantastic. A definite 'on par' best Indian meal in the area. Even compared to the excellent flavours of "cottage Warrington". Having enjoyed many with the area, it goes without saying this is our new Local Indian! Excellent work .
