Last night was my second time visiting Blue Sea Fish and Chips, and once again the customer service was absolutely top tier. I stopped by hoping to grab fish and chips, not realising they were already closing. Although they had sold out of fish, the staff kindly offered me their last batch of wings and chips instead. I apologised for arriving so late, especially since I hadn’t realised they were closed, but they were so understanding and accommodating. To make things even more impressive, I only had my card with me, but they had already closed the till for the evening. When I offered to quickly go across the road and get cash, they refused and simply told me to pay next time I was around. That level of trust, kindness, and generosity is so rare these days. What stood out most was that the staff were not annoyed in the slightest that I had turned up after closing. Instead, they did everything they could to help me, even though it was clearly an inconvenience for them. They truly went above and beyond. Places like this are a diamond in the rough these days. Thank you to the team at Blue Sea Fish and Chips for being so caring and accommodating. I’m now a huge fan of both your wings and your fish and chips. 10/10. We’ve been customers at Blue Sea for just over a year since moving to the area, and honestly, it’s been consistently brilliant every single time. The quality of the fish is second to none — proper chunky, meaty cod with beautiful flaky texture, and the chips are always fresh, golden and absolutely gorgeous. What really makes it special though is the service. The staff are so personable and welcoming — they greet you by name whether you’re ordering over the phone or walking through the door. It’s that lovely old-school customer service that’s so rare to find now, paired with genuinely amazing food. We’re so lucky to have this as our local. Highly, highly recommend!
