Arrived at this establishment for food and beverages we welcomed by a waiter who was very polite with his approach we ordered drinks and were given some menus to look at my wife didn't want a main meal so opted for a belly pork starter where opted for beef and steak pie with chips and gravy the chips were nice and well cooked but the steak pie was quite stodgy probably because it had been microwaved so it wasn't what I expected quality wise and the bill didn't justify the food at 48 pounds but that did include 2 deserts which was better than the food so only visit this establishment if you want drinks totally avoid the food Price per person: £20–30

Thank you for your feedback John. All our steak pies are made on site and we serve them as a wedge of pie rather that a sealed full pie. We are able to do this by thickening the pie mix with a roux which stops the mix falling out. It seems like on this occasion the chefs have added too much roux to the mix which may cause the pie to become stodgy. We could have taken the pie off the bill for you if you had mentioned it at your checkback. If you could contact me I would like to discuss your visit with us in greater detail. We’ve visited The Blue Bell several times, and the experience is always excellent. The food is consistently delicious, with great quality and presentation every time. What really makes this pub stand out is the fantastic team. The staff are always friendly, professional, and welcoming, creating a great atmosphere from the moment you arrive. A special mention goes to Celia, who always goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. She is incredibly attentive, helpful, and genuinely cares about providing outstanding customer service. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is a priority here, and that’s why we keep coming back. Had a lovely lunch with family, daughters choice for her birthday. Food was lovely. Our server Zoē was exceptional and couldn't do enough for us. We need to visit this place more as we know know we will always get perfect service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
