Perched right next to Wylam railway station and directly on the Keelman's Way cycle path, this pub knows exactly who its customers are and caters to them brilliantly . The Ale Selection is Genuinely Impressive On any given visit, you'll find 11+ real ales on tap – a bewildering array of local cask and keg brews, all kept in tip-top condition . CAMRA members will be in heaven, though regulars joke about why it's not currently in the guide. There's also a good range of traditional ciders and malt whiskies for those who prefer something different . Atmosphere & Setting The pub has a wonderfully homely, characterful feel with bespoke stained glass windows, booth seating, and a roaring open fire in winter that makes it impossible to leave . Stayed here for one night, probably had the worst night sleep ever, music blasting until 2.30am when clearly states pub closes at 12, fight started outside below our window, carried on inside which resulted in young drinkers smashing up the bar and games room, noise was horrendous, then continued outside again, another fight carried on inside, people screaming to split it up, this carried on until 3.30. Woke up at 07.15 to people standing outside our door having conversation and laughing. Absolute joke of a place.
