Disappointing experience for a Mayfair bar. The host named George was incredibly rude and acted as if I owed him something. Definitely not planning on coming back. We’ll be looking for new spots instead! ;) Price per person: £1–10 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Booked a table at Bonds Mayfair to watch the football and paid a £20 deposit, but the experience was disappointing from start to finish. We arrived expecting to watch the match, but there was no game audio just loud music so the whole purpose of booking was lost. When ordering, I was told 15 minutes later that a key item (rump steak) was unavailable. I offered to pay extra for a different cut, but the chef refused. While I was still deciding on an alternative, my sides were brought out early and left to go cold. I then asked if the fries that came with my replacement dish could be swapped for the side I had already ordered, as a small goodwill gesture given the inconvenience, and again this was refused. When I asked to speak to a manager, the situation escalated. He approached with a dismissive attitude, spoke over me, and made no attempt to resolve the issues. Instead, I was made to feel like I was in the wrong for expecting basic customer service. For a venue that positions itself as a premium experience, the lack of organisation, flexibility, and professionalism was really disappointing. Unfortunately, this was not worth the deposit or the visit. Plenty of better places in London that actually value their customers. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

The match was visible throughout the venue, on this occasion we ensured you were accommodated in our side area where the entire match was shown with sound. We’re very apologetic that your dining experience was less than ideal. Our management team did their best to assist during your visit. However, the interaction became challenging due to the language used when interacting with our staff. While we always aim to resolve concerns wherever possible, we also have a responsibility to ensure a respectful environment for both our team and the guest. We truly regret that you left feeling disappointed, as this is not the experience we want any of our guests to have. We appreciate your feedback and will reflect on this with the team. Thank you.
