Went today with family including children. The ambience is great. The staff very attentive. The menu has recently changed and in my opinion very varied and I can be very fussy!. I opted for the brand new dish of cajun fish burger which they have called The Deck. You have the option of having it with no bun but salad in its place. I wanted the bun but no chips, it was not a problem to change that to salad in its place. I have to say it was really delicious!! Because I do not have a massive appetite i do like what I can fit in me to be tasty. This burger most definitely was! I was actually sad I could not eat more but rest assured I gave it a good go! For where it is located, the quality of the food, the pricing is, i felt, very reasonable. This is my second visit there this year and it will most definitely not be my last! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: As I am not vegetarian I did not pay much attention to the options but was aware there was options Dietary restrictions: From booking before arrival, and on arrival, dietary restrictions was asked about. I also heard it being asked of other parties that arrived.

Visited the boot for Sunday lunch, overall a slightly disappointing experience. A place that has so much potential let down by the service. I thought the food was extremely tasty, one of the best pub roasts I’ve ever had and the portion size provided great value for money. However, the service we experienced left a lot to be desired. We received our food well before our drinks arrived, as well as asking for additional gravy and being charged £2 for the privilege. It felt as if for a Sunday service there were a few staff members short to stay on top of things. Id return for the food, but I’d be selective on the time I’d book the table.
