Four of us enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Boot. Our friends were visiting from overseas and I was keen for them to try the food. We were shown to the table of our choice by friendly Ryan who took our drinks order. He also pointed out the special offer on the wine which went down very well. Lovely Jodie took our food orders and, as always, she was pleasantly engaging. The starters were fab (cheddar mushrooms and calamari) and the mains were magnificent. My lamb was gorgeous, my friend’s sea bass was the usual great dish and her husband said his steak (and the tasty Stilton sauce that came with it) was the best he had eaten in at least 10 years - and he eats a lot of steak! The best thing though was how the chef tweaked my husband’s chicken dish (taking it off the bone). It was really appreciated. Also, the “must have” onion rings were their usual crispy perfection. Absolutely marvellous food from chef Matthew. Thank you Ryan, Jodie and Matthew for a lovely evening. We will definitely be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
