Jedna z najlepszych restauracji w jakich miałam przyjemność gościć. Czułam się rozpieszczona. Jedzenie wspaniałe, świeże i soczyste. Również wino wyśmirnite. Lokalizacja dopełnia całość. Wrócę tam bardzo chętnie, gdyż takie małe przyjemności budują piękne życie i wspomnienia. Dziękuję za wstęp do kulinarnej uczty, gdyż chciałabym u Was przetestować całe menu.

Great service and location! Wonderful on-site options - was able to reserve a kayak and bike during my visit. Terrific location in the center of town.

If you’re thinking about booking here, do it quickly while a room is available. In our years of travel across continents and cultures, only a handful of hotels have earned the rare distinction of being places we’d return to without hesitation. Bootshaus Amberg is now firmly on that list. Tucked along the banks of the Vils River in the heart of Amberg, this charming boutique hotel blends modern comfort with thoughtful hospitality in a way that made it stand out during our three-week journey through Germany. Was it the warm, attentive service at breakfast? The spotless, cozy guest rooms? Or perhaps the joy of having gluten-free bread —something no other hotel on our itinerary had managed? We’re still not sure what won us over most, but the combination was perfect. The location was equally ideal. Once we parked—admittedly a bit of a challenge to locate the hotel initially—everything we needed was just steps away. Street parking was available nearby, and we never had to search for long. The walkability of the neighborhood deserves a perfect score. Whether we wandered right across the bridge to discover the charming “Spectacle Bridge” and the nearby quiet garden, or turned left into the Marktplatz, we always stumbled across a café or spot to eat. Day or night, the town was safe and walkable for us and the toddlers. Breakfast was included in our room rate, although the offering wasn’t detailed in advance. A small menu accompanied by impeccable service had us wondering if it would be enough—but we left full and happy. The gluten-free bread served with local jam and creamy butter was almost too good to be true (cause we couldn’t find it anywhere else). Though Bootshaus Amberg is about 40 minutes from Grafenwöhr, the drive was straightforward and more than worth it for the experience. One unexpected delight: the water. Yes, the water. It was, without exaggeration, the best-tasting water we had during our time in Germany and Switzerland. Bring your refillable bottle—you’ll want to take some with you. In short, Bootshaus Amberg is one of those rare stays that manages to feel like a well-kept secret and a home away from home all at once. We’d return in a heartbeat, toddlers in tow. Because which child doesn’t like staying somewhere that feels like you’re on a boat? Just wonderful. Service: 5
