What a lovely place to grab something! My boyfriend and I missed our bus and had half and hour to kill so popped in. We were immediately greeted by the friendly staff. The tacos were amazing and the chips were some of the best we’ve had. 10/10 would recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

New to the area and lured by the smell of sizzling meat and the promise of slushie-based joy, we made our first pilgrimage to Box Tacos, and folks, it did not disappoint. We went full send with the quesabirria tacos, loaded fries, kids’ chicken and cheese tacos, jalapeño slaw, and a couple of slushies that frankly tasted like they were made by actual tropical wizards. The beef? Outrageous. Tender, flavour-packed, and possibly slow-cooked in a cauldron of magic. The slushies? So good they briefly silenced our kids, a rare and priceless phenomenon. Portion-wise, it was spot-on. Not the kind of meal that has you contemplating your life choices afterward, but substantial enough that no one left eyeing each other’s plates. Even our 9-year-old, who typically treats food as an inconvenient requirement for survival, demolished his tacos like he was competing on a reality show. He talked about them all afternoon. We are concerned he may start a blog. The staff were a delight, friendly, but not in the "I might be held hostage by customer service training videos" kind of way. They mentioned being busy, but you wouldn’t know it as our food came out promptly, hot, and full of joy. Even the alfresco dining area was great: relaxed and welcoming. Price-wise, we got all this for around £40, for a family of four,which in today’s economy, feels like an act of community service. Would we return? Already planning it. Would we recommend it? Only to everyone we meet, befriend, or accidentally brush past on the street. Final score: 12 out of 10, not mathematically possible, but Box Tacos plays by its own rules.
