Good vegan options. It's nice to sit outside with a view of the river when the sun is shining. Popular place. It can get very busy. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: £20–30

Oh @ The Bridge, what has happened?!?! This isn’t our first visit and you can’t fault the setting. Who wouldn’t enjoy sitting by the River Cam on a warm summers evening. However this is where the glowing review ends. We ordered pate and the Camembert to start, lovely but not enough bread, the huge chunk of pate came with one slice whilst the Camembert, intended for two came with four slices. Meaning a lot of the pate and cheese was wasted. I did ask if we could have some more bread. I was told it would cost £1 which is absolutely fine but I would have to go and order it at the bar myself, rather than the young lady go and sort it out for us. The table wasn’t cleared so when our mains came out to us it became a juggling act of plates full of food and plates of finished food going in all directions. For the main I ordered the summer special of a mixed seafood platter. Sadly the scallops were well overcooked as was the king prawns and I don’t even know what the mush was that came on a shell. Quite sad really, beautiful setting being let down by poor service and poor food. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £30–40 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot

We were a large group, a few of us arriving early, we were told our table was going to be another 5 mins, we said it was fine we still had 20mins before our scheduled time slot. Once the table was ready I was told 3 times in 5 mins it was ready, each time I explained we were still waiting for the rest of our group. The 4th and last time I was told our table was ready, I asked if there was an issue with the booking, we were still early and the group hadn't all arrived, I actually felt harassed at this point!

We had a discussion with the waitress at the beginning stating we would be paying separately at the end, she advised us to order together as ordering separately we wouldn't have our meals arriving at the same time. Not sure why, surely communication with the kitchen would have overcome this issue.

The lighting in the restaurant where we were sitting was terrible, I was blinded by the sun reflection, in the other corner we had to use a phone torch to read the menu

The meal was lovely, everyone was happy...

However when the waiter came over with the bill, he was asked to pass over the bill so it could be split as we were paying separately, the waiter rolled his eyes at my relative and walked away!! He returned and was told they weren't quite ready, the waiter then stood at the bar chatting with another waiter, both of them constantly glancing over to us, the waiter then started looking at his watch timing us!

Overall lovely meal, but let down with the harassment and eyes rolling....

Doubt we'll be returning anytime soon!!
