A lovely haven
In these very difficult and strange times this is lovely haven.
Everyone is helpful and very kind. They are always there to make your experience one to remember.
It is located in a lovely spot, right next to the canal. Often narrow boats will pass, offering a cheeky wave as they go.
Many times they will stop and enjoy the food and hospitality here.
The outside sun terrace is lovely. Wildlife is all around.
Ducks, swans, moorhens, dragon flies and even the occasional king fisher. A rare and beautiful sight.
There are busy times and occasionally you may have to wait a few minutes. But relax and have a beer in the bar area and you will soon be ushered to a table.
The Britannia always has a cross section of people. Everyone is pleasant and it is a place where it is possible to meet new people. You might be able to enjoy a quiet drink or even a lovely meal and who know what can blossom from this.
Everyone in the team is there to make your experience one that you will remember and would like to repeat.
Without doubt the best place in Northampton.

I took my partner, mother in law and daughter for a Sunday roast on the 27th of this month. The food looked lovely and we all had different roasts. Unfortunately as soon as I got in the car I felt really sick and suffered from a severe bout of food poisoning which lasted all night. I can only think it was the sausage/ bacon that came with the roast I had, no-one else had one. It was a warm day and God knows how long the sausage was left hanging around. I was very disappointed as it is a lovely venue and we had a lovely day, but I haven't been this ill for a very long time.
