Visited the Pantry Bruntsfield cafe today at 10:30pm, and I was disappointed by the service. Upon arrival, I was told I would be seated, but other customers who arrived after me were seated first, even though they were still waiting for friends. I was informed I couldn’t be seated until my companion arrived—a rule that didn’t seem to apply to anyone else. When we were finally seated, we were told we could only stay in the café for 30–45 minutes, which meant we couldn’t order any food, so we ended up just having coffee. Unfortunately, the coffees were served without spoons or sugar, and when requested, only a cube and a half of sugar—which I found quite rude—and a single spoon were provided, leaving my friend without. Overall, I found the service discourteous and inconsistent. I hope the café addresses these issues to improve the guest experience. Totally I won’t recommend this cafe.
