Utterly delicious. I’m vegetarian and my husband eats meat. We ate here for a special occasion this May and had the set menu ‘Bubala Knows Best’ which was just stunning. The food is outstanding; rich, robust and flavoursome yet elegant and cool without being pretentious. We were provided with some complimentary additions which was just part of the excellent service! Incredibly fast and attentive service without the staff being too friendly or over familiar - the perfect balance in my opinion. The mushroom skewers and smacked cucumbers are a particular highlight, and as a non-drinker I only wish more places would include a Botivo cocktail as delicious as salty and spicy one (which quickly became two!) I was made at Bubala Spitalfields. A highly recommended experience. Intimate, buzzy, and delicious. Even the biggest meat-eaters will forget this place is vegetarian. Perfect for a group dinner where you want to try everything. What we ordered: (shared by 4) -hummus, mango, lime leaf oil: 8/10, so creamy and hints of sweetness from the mango -laffa flatbread: 8/10, so warm and fluffy -confit potatoes: 8/10, so many layers of potatoes, fried perfectly, has a great crunch yet softness to your bite -halloumi, black seed honey: 8.5/10, sooo beautiful glazed, warm -batata harra: 9/10, spicy potatoes, personally not spicy to me but to other had a kick -smacked cucumbers, tahini, chili crunch: 9/10, super crunchy, fresh, zesty -falafel, tahini, amba, za’atar, sumac onions: 8.5/10, crunchy on the outside and light in the middle Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian

We had the tasting menu for a private birthday party. The food is vegeterian and was on the whole, exceptional. Each serving had a lot of variety and there was depth to the flavour every time. You can always ask for more bread, the taste of which was one of the highlights. I think a dessert could have added to the experience. We had a private room which lended to a great experience but it did mean we were not 'attended' to when it came to being asked about having our drinks being topped up or asked about, that being said the service was warm and friendly and we always taken care of.
