First time at The Burtree Inn, me and hubby both ordered a parmo, it was very disappointing, mine was the escalope a le creme and the taste wasn’t great, it tasted like it had come out of a tub and tasted like it had cheese in it, but this wasn’t mentioned on the menu. Hubbys parmo had bbq sauce in it and this also was not mentioned on the menu.

Rude, unhelpful staff. Has a table booked, for just over a week, for a long awaited reunion with friends. As we had chosen from the Christmas menu full payment was taken on booking. Sadly 3 of our party were ill yesterday, 2 waiting for PCR results & when we tried to make contact, via phone/answerphone & fb messenger, we had no response. Eventually answered the phone 15 mins before we were due to arrive, refused to consider rebooking or refund, said we had left it too late!! People had only become unwell that morning, with Covid symptoms & had a conscience, hence why they cancelled but the Burtree does not consider this a good enough reason .... Said cancellation has to be within 28days & in writing, the booking hadn't been made for that long, so that wasn't remotely possible & in the current climate, I think it's appalling that they weren't prepared to meet us half way & rebook. Certainly won't ever consider going there again & would never recommend. Also they have removed our negative review from their site & blocked the person who made it! Pathetic beyond words.....
