Been coming to The Cabin Chippy in Tipton for years - used to pop in a few times a year and the food was always spot on. Bit gutted about yesterday's visit though, if I'm honest. Got myself a large fish and chips with salad, but blimey, what a letdown! The batter on the fish was nothing like the lovely crispy coating I remember - proper thick, fatty and stuck to your teeth. The salad looked past its best by a day at least, mostly just massive chunks of red onion. Only decent bit was the chips, but even they tasted like the oil needed a good change - you know what I mean? Proper shame to say it, but I wouldn't bother if I were you. Plenty of better chippies in Tipton where you can get fresh fish and chips done right. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips

Hi Tomasz, sorry to hear about your recent experience and I’m glad to hear that it was first bad experience you had! We’ve been running on skeleton staff during holidays and that would explain your experience. Rest assure I’ll look into it and we’ll get the quality back to how you used to like it!
