I love discovering unique, locally owned coffee shops every morning. This gem in the Victorian Market is a standout, especially since it opens early. Whether you choose to sit upstairs or outside in the bustling market, the atmosphere is wonderful. The service is incredibly friendly, the coffee is excellent, and the food portions are generous enough to share. I highly recommend the Scottish pancakes—they were perfectly fluffy and loaded with strawberries, bananas, blueberries, bacon, and eggs. It’s the perfect spot to fuel up before catching a local bagpipe performance in the street or heading out for a scenic river walk by the castle ahead of a Loch Ness Jacobite Tour. Absolutely fantastic experience at Café de Paulo! The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The coffee was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Great selection of breakfast and lunch options, all prepared to a high standard. My family and friends came here through our highland trip and it proved to be the perfect breakfast place. They are fast, the food is really good and the quantities are big! Being spanish we also appreciated that when asking for olive oil they went out of their way to provide it even though they don't usually offer it, very nice of them. Would recommend to anyone who want to have a breakfast stop while visiting Inverness! Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
