Came here for dinner and was presented their buffet, which seemed very expensive for steamed vegetables, rice, and a single protein dish with some cold cuts, crackers and cheese. Ended up just ordering their clubhouse with a salad, which was pretty good but could have used a bit more chicken on it for the price. The salad was fine but nothing special. Overall the meal was fine, but I'm not sure I'd come back. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

This restaurant is a gem, especially for weekend brunch. As a local permanent makeup artist with a studio downtown this is my favourite place to grab a full slow-food breakfast before my first client arrives. The table settings are luxury class with white linens and proper settings. The variety and quality of food is excellent. I imagine that travellers staying in the hotel would have an excellent experience. Having tried other hotel restaurants in the downtown core I can say that the Carleton Grill is competing very well.
