We found it didn't measure up to the Jjamppong; the noodles in that dish just weren't as good in terms of texture. Additionally, the mandu were fairly average, and the atmosphere in the restaurant felt a bit lacking, which took away from the overall experience. It’s a great spot if you’re specifically craving those standout noodle dishes, but there’s definitely room for improvement in the ambiance and consistency across the menu. I forgot to take a picture before digging in, so I took one a bit too late. We ordered a medium Sweet and Sour Pork, two Jajangmyeon, and one Seafood Jjambong. The Jajangmyeon was sweet and savory, the Jjambong was spicy and full of umami even though it wasn't the 'fire-spicy' version, and the Sweet and Sour Pork was delicious with a soft, chewy batter. The service was also very friendly. The only downside was the parking. If I ever have a reason to go downtown again, I’d love to revisit this place. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$20–30

Had a great time at Chaihong! I've been before and I was craving their Jjangjangmeon, it can be hard to find downtown. Service was prompt, food was delicious and hot with the perfect balance of flavours, I just wish there was more pork. The pickled radish was readily available with the server having some amazing telepathic powers filling up my lil banchan dish every time it got low. I highly recommend them! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
