We have been there 3 time for very pleasant dinners. Very nice atmosphere, food, excellent service by even more pleasant servers. Each time, all of us had a great evening. For almost one year we have this place as our favorite for our weekly Sunday breakfast. Great tasty choices, my favorite is their oatmeal with plenty fruits and nuts. Plenty coffee and attentive service by such nice servers. We have to specifically highlight Allan who has become our regular friendly waiter, who makes our weekly visit with our rotating friends such a pleasant treat. Only one little comment.in light of Ottawa restaurants who have switched from Heinz to French to support true Canadian companies, manufacturers and suppliers.they should do the same Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

There are restaurants you try and there are restaurants that become part of your life story. For me, that place is Chances R I celebrated my graduation there. I sat there the day I found out I was pregnant. We celebrated the moment my husband got the job he had been dreaming about. And somehow, through every season of life, Chances R has always been there. It’s more than food to me. It’s comfort. Familiarity. A place that quietly became the background of some of the biggest moments of my life. And the food? Always GOOD Generous portions, comforting meals, and dishes that actually taste homemade and satisfying every single time. The atmosphere feels warm and timeless, and no matter how much Ottawa changes, walking into Chances R still feels the same: safe, comforting, and special. I booked a reservation for a party of 14, including two young kids and a baby in less than 24 hours, and they seamlessly accommodated us on a Friday evening. The food was great, and so was the service. Having dined many times at the West end location, this was my first time at Chances ‘R East, and I would definitely come back.
