On our Annual visit to Butlins Skegness, we always come to Cheers Bar for a great night of nestalga. We get there usually at 7pm and sit upstairs as this is where the entertainment for all ages is. There is a dancefloor in the middle of the room which is used for discos, games and general playing space for the kids. The Staff are very friendly and helpful. The team who do the entertainment are brilliant. It is like how you remember entertainment was when i was going out to places like this with my parents. Kids friendly with the odd pearler that only the adults will understand. In addition to muliple games for the kids and chances to win prizes, there are some more adult games like Bingo, Open the Box and various other games. Depending on how lively it is, could be looking at between £25-50 for a full house. There is a good selection of drinks and also food is very good. We didnt eat at this visit but we have in previous visits and there has never been any complaints. Pizzas are very good. There are some amusement machines downstairs to keep the kids coming back for more money. Good selection of machines and little bits that kids love like temporary tattoos etc. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £10–20 Wheelchair accessibility: There is an access lift for anyone who needs to use it.

First of all, lets talk about the arcades... aimed for children. They know full well most children will be going in alone whilst their parents have a drink, so they won't 'notice'. I took my 2 year old in, none of the 2p slots were dropping 2ps back out even when they fell off of the middle section. My daughter was excited that she won a toy but it never came out, again- fell off the middle not at the edge. My dad mentioned it to the barstaff- who were completely arrogant and dissmissive... stating 'if it hasnt come out then you havent won it'. My dad then replied, 'if it falls off then they should win it'. I then said to the barman: 'well have you taped them up then as i notice no 2ps are coming out either, even though they have fell off in the middle'. He said NOTHING. Which says a lot. The attitude was awful, to state this was a child so excited about winning. Taking complete advantage of children and their families. Its disgusting and unlawful. It is false advertisement as they are not allowing the slot machines to work in a way they intended, which they know will attract families with children. Would never step foot in again for trying to take advantage of customers. Find another family friendly pub who have more integrity, a few yards down the road.
