I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant and definitely won’t be coming back. I ordered the roti and Kadai Gosht (lamb). The rotis were clearly not freshly made, they tasted like frozen, store-bought tortillas that had simply been reheated rather than authentic handmade rotis. The Kadai Gosht was even more disappointing. The portion was extremely small, with hardly two small pieces of lamb. Most of the dish consisted of sautéed onions, and it also contained capsicum and eggplant, which I have never seen in a traditional Kadai Gosht. The curry itself was very dry and nowhere near enough for one person. What made the experience worse was the response when I spoke to the chef. Instead of acknowledging my concerns, he confidently insisted that eggplant belongs in the dish and denied that the rotis were store-bought, claiming they were made in-house. Based on what I was served, I simply did not find those explanations believable. When you’re paying around $35 for a lamb curry, you expect a reasonable portion and authentic preparation. Unfortunately, this meal fell well short of both expectations. I don’t mind paying for good food, but this felt like poor value for the price. I won’t be returning, and I hope this review helps others make an informed decision before dining here. Price per person: $40–50

Went to grab some dinner before closing, it was first time at Chef Abhi's... and not the last! One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Thoughtfully crafted curries, incredible depth of flabour. Smoky, sweet, spicy, and did I mention the depth? Fish curry was perfectly cooked. Chatted with the chef, and he explained some of his food philosophy. His love of his craft was clear in the first bite. Oh and the atmosphere! Wow. I felt like I was really on vacation. We will be back! Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The good, our waitress was great. The bad; Vegetable Pakora-extremely greasy, and tasted like the deep-fryer oil was dirty and burnt. Seafood curry-fish was overcooked, and the whole dish had a nasty fishy smell that comes from old, frozen product. Mango Chicken Curry-eating a mouth-full of sand would have been better. The whole dish had an unpleasant graininess to it and the chicken was way over cooked. Not an ounce of moisture left in the meat. Naan-what a joke. Store bought naan is better. And to top off all the disappointing food was the price. When you're charging $25+ per entree, I expect better food than McDonalds. Save yourself the disappointment and go anywhere else.
