I’ve tried multiple dishes both dining in and takeaway, and it’s always been great. The service, the quality of the food, and the care this business puts into what they do really shows. And for visitors alike — not only are the fish and chips excellent, but their deep-fried Mars bar is a must-try too! Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What a gem! We ate here two out of three nights, but I wish it had been all three nights. Party of four and we had the shawarma, fish & chips, pizza and sucuk panini. Prices were affordable and everything was delicious. We did not try the wings or burgers but saw them being made and they looked very tasty. The restaurant is unassuming but absolutely worth a trip if you are in Edinburgh. The chef was so kind and friendly. We accidentally ordered something on the morning menu in the evening, but the chef insisted on accommodating us. He went out of his way to serve us and ensure we enjoyed dinner. We really could not have been more pleased with everything and everyone at Chef Bako. I hope we come back to Edinburgh soon so we can come back to eat at Chef Bako again and enjoy this wonderful city. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5
