The building has lost most of its character and charm with over powering led lights, modern flooring, tables/chairs, curtain poles.. its bright white throughout. It’s definitely not the rustic pub I was looking forward to but I am overly fussy with ancient buildings being unsympathetically modernised. Service: 5

Had Sunday lunch with friends. Hadn't been to the Chequers before. Apparently, it has changed hands in the past years or so! The food was spot on! My friends had the Sunday roast, which was fantastic & good variety of veg, the Chef likes to do different varieties ,which went down a treat. I chose the Japanese beef curry rice bowl, thoroughly enjoyed it! Full of flavour & so fresh. The service was really good. Lovely people. If your in the area, drop in! Places like this need to be supported! Service: 5

The Chequers Inn as an absolute gem. The location is perfect for touring the beautiful countryside or just staying put in quintessentially English village surroundings. The Inn and it's gardens are stunning, and most importantly everyone we met was incredibly friendly and happy to stop and chat. All of the staff are fantastic and the food is out of this world. The rooms are not only great looking, but really comfortable. This is truly a great place and we will definitely go back. Thanks to everyone at the Inn who made the stay a truly memorable one, we seriously didn't want to leave! Service: 5
