A real gem in Chichester. Convenient location on the end of West Street. A quick walk to the commercial center of town. Had delightful, sunny room upstairs overlooking the back garden. Elliott, the proprietor, is charming, efficient, and accommodating. All of the staff were equally wonderful. The inn serves as one of the cultural centers of Chichester - from Pride celebration after-parties to the weekly Chichester Folk Club sing-along. Service: 5

Ale choice was okay. Visited in the afternoon, a young woman serving and possibly understandably she did not know much about cask ale. She tried her best. Revisited in the evening, change of staff, and a different, very much for the worse, attitude. More interested in chatting with their mates than addressing customers queries. Last year this place was buzzing on Saturday night, this year it was dead (I visit the Chichester area for two weeks a year), I think this says it all. Four stars for the effort of the young lady, two stars for the evening hence the three rating. Service: 3

We came out for a nice afternoon dog walk before heading to the Chichester Inn for a beer, we sat in the garden which was nice! We decided to have a plate of chilli nachos with a portion of chips each!! The nachos arrived and looked very nice, but only one chips arrived. I started to tuck into the nachos and on my second go I found a very long human hair nestled in amongst it all! There is absolutely no excuse for this, hair should be tied back and a hair net worn to cover it all! I will never eat here again!!!!
