BEWARE! The rooms look NOTHING like the pictures they have on Google Maps. I booked a room 4 days in advance. When I checked in, they gave me keys to a room that was OCCUPIED. Luckily for me no one was in that room BUT all their valuables and belonging were there. Scary considering I could have stolen everything. They then admitted to me that they overbooked themselves but could still give me a room. Yet they some how checked in someone behind me with no reservation. The room they gave me was GROSS. I barely wanted to sit down or lay in the bed. The bedsheets were dirty and had stains. There was lots of damage to the room. Why didn’t I tell them you ask? The staff leaves at 9pm so I had no way of cancelling my room or asking for them to fix it. The only compensation they offered me is 25% off my NEXT STAY, as if I’ll be stay there again. VERY DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED. Motel 6 would have been a much better option. At least they have staff on site Service: 1

I stayed here with my brother in law and I have to tell you, the pictures he link me and when we got there are not the same. My dog almost got sick because I lied to him bringing him to a place he didn’t sign off on and was almost lead down the wrong path.

This review reflects a deeply disturbing and disappointing experience at City Motel during the Canada Day weekend in 2025. Despite touring, viewing, agreeing upon and booking one VERY specific room well in advance, for very good reason and checking IN PERSON 3 different times over 2 weeks prior ,to make sure all was as it should be and because it was due to my sister's health needs and our triple special family occasion and the fact they only have one decently remodeled room with 2 queen beds. I had planned a special surprise for my family at City Motel, including celebration cakes, drinks, and decorations like flowers and balloons. I arranged to access the room early to set it up before their arrival. The room was reserved specifically for them, and I confirmed all details with the staff, including Sean, who assured me everything was set. On the day of arrival, with unbearable heat and humidity, I loaded my car with gifts and drove to the motel. To my dismay, I found another car, and the ONLY car in the whole place, parked in front of our reserved room with the shades down. The front desk informed me that our room was given to another guest who decided to extend their stay, despite my prior booking and payment. This left us with no suitable accommodation, despite assurances from staff that everything was arranged. The replacement room offered was below subpar, with outdated, rusted and mismatched furnishings, depressinging old painted walls, carpet on floors. The management failed to provide any compensation or alternative solutions, leading to a ruined weekend where my time was not valued, our agreement was left high and dry, celebrational food was melting in my car, my relatives literally ended up sleeping on our floor as it was a big holiday weekend and nothing was available anywhere. This experience was beyond unacceptable, highlighting a AN EPIC lack of understanding of any hospitality standards what -so - ever. My home is small, and does not have a proper guest room, and has difficult stairs for my sister, so my husband and I thought we'd put them up at the City View Inn, which is literally just around the corner from where we live. What a disaster. Service: 3
