My husband and I stayed for one night in this beautiful, quiet, quaint hotel. We loved being right on the water and being so close to the main street. We will be back!

One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. So cozy and comfortable. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Location is also great - it’s a short stroll to the harbor, a quick drive to the downtown for dinner or shopping, and also not far from the sandbanks. I can’t believe how low the price for our stay was, given how high-end this place felt. We had a baby with us, and this place was great and accommodating. The only thing I’d mention is that our room was up a short set of stairs, but staff helped us with our bags so it was no trouble at all.

Overall, The Claramount Club is a fantastic accommodation that we are hoping to return to in the near future! Some more specific thoughts - The Good: - The overall aesthetic of the property and rooms is incredible - the whole place feels lush, high-end, but not too uptight. Perfect for a boutique getaway in the scenic county. - Lots of amenities! Pool, gym, cafe and large patio, cozy firepit area to roast marshmallows in the evenings. The rooms come with a complementary minibar (well stocked with nespresso pods, pop, and tea), board games, and really nice speakers!) - Every employee we interacted with was kind and attentive. We appreciated the convenience of their help being just a text away. - Super clean overall and there is daily cleaning from 11-3. The Bad (not actually bad bad) - The design of the washrooms is a bit awkward. There are no racks or hooks to hang hand or body towels. The showers are quite long, which makes the few steps between hot water and the shower gels feel like a bit of a trek. - The rooms are in standalone buildings which means the door to your room opens directly outside. The surrounding area is safe enough, but there is no additional lock aside from the one you tap into. This also means that bugs make their way into the room quite easily (such is nature I suppose but maybe having citronella in the evenings would help?) The In-Between: - Location is right by the harbour and very beautiful - it's what allows for such serene views right at the edge of the water. Worth noting that it is about a 15 minute walk from the heart of Picton's shops and restaurants. This doesn't seem like much but has got quite a bit of terrain that I would imagine might be strenuous for some. - 2 EV chargers are available to use free of charge - however there is not really a formal system of keeping track of who else is using it, and no real way to know when there will be availability until someone else physically leaves the spot. Best not to rely on them for charging if you have a long journey ahead, but nice to have the option of fueling up in shorter spurts. Service: 5

It means a lot to hear that the aesthetic, amenities, and team hit the mark. We put a lot of care into all three, so that feedback is appreciated. Your constructive notes are well taken. The towel hook situation is something we've heard before and are actively looking at - a small thing that makes a real difference in daily comfort. The bug point is fair too, and citronella is actually a lovely idea we'll look into for the outdoor spaces around the rooms in the evenings. On the EV chargers, you're right that the current setup is informal - that's useful to flag as we think about how to improve communication around availability.
