Honestly I’ve lived in this neighborhood forever and I used to love this bar. Your average dive bar with decent food and fun people but recently I’m not sure if it’s the people who run it or the workers but they are running it into the ground. Horrible manners, with brutal service, it would seem normal that you’d bring napkins after brining food out but not to these servers they just slap it down on the table and don’t say a word. Could be a hidden gem if management smartens up and gets rid of some crabby servers but until then it will be a must avoid. Coming from someone who’s a 2 minute walk away Meal type: Other Price per person: $40–50 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

I was there Sunday afternoon. I live in the area and thought I’d try it out. Well it was VERY disappointing. Maybe 15 people total and the SERVICE was horrible. Waitress had a very bad attitude. Won’t be back and will not recommence. Meal type: Other Price per person: CA$60–70 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Reminds me of a classic 90’s pub! And not just the music that they play. I’m talking classic bar and stools set up with an assortment of booths, tables and chairs that serves good old-school pub-fare. I’ve seen too many pubs that got away from classic menu staples and replace them with some odd / weird creations that include lemongrass or a side of some kind of “bisque”. Coasters has potato skins, burgers, chicken tenders, pizzas and much more and they are all grillicious! The burger I ordered had perfectly cooked bacon and the veg toppings were super fresh. I mentioned potato skins being in the menu, and I needed to try them. They were wonderful! Have been to some pubs that have potato skins that come with 5 pieces (a “rock-paper-scissors” battle to see who gets the 5th one if you are sharing) but Coasters has 6 - a perfect 3 each when sharing with a significant other. It was a busy night when we were there but service was great and timely. I out down $30-40 per person as what we spent but that included a couple rounds of drinks, dinner and a shared appy so it was pretty reasonable. Will definitely come back!
