Stopped for week day lunch so very quiet. Ordered brie and cranberry sandwich with coleslaw and a refreshingly crunchy little side salad, very nice! Plus delicious sweet potato fries. Partner had the burger and 'door step' chips, also nice. Desserts were the red berries Eton mess (no sharing! ) and the sticky toffee pudding, both thoroughly enjoyed. Very well served by the respectful young man in charge who took time to ensure his guests were happy! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £60–70 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheel chair access.

I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. My partner and I drove an hour to The Cock Inn to meet friends for a Valentine’s meal, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The staff seemed uncomfortable and unsure of what they were doing, and the food was bland with small portions, especially considering it was £20+ per meal. To make matters worse, some customers and bar staff made inappropriate comments and jokes about my partner’s weight, and other staff members joined in. We were shocked by the unprofessional behaviour. A friend contacted the manager after we left, but overall the customer service and pricing were unacceptable. We definitely won’t be returning. Christmas lunch 2023.We arrived at 12 Noon for 12.30 sit down expecting our glass of fizz ,it did not happen until after our first drink we paid for(not a good start)Next CHRISTMAS LUNCH. The starters were good, after that it went downhill the roast turkey looked like catering turkey,not much taste,vegs not bad roast potatoes were good ,to much gravy ,should have been served in a small jug so you can use what you want.PUDDING.Chistmas pudding was cold the taste was like cardboard(suggest it was catering product).For what we had we thought it was way over priced,and to add 10% surcharge on top without telling us on the christmas menu is totally wrong.We would not come again.
