Brought two cod and chips with a curry sauce this evening
, the fish tasted strange and the batter was soggy, the chips were colourless soggy greasy and under cooked.
Not sure how you were awarded best in town we won’t be using you again

Called in for fish and chips as we live locally and had not used the place since it changed hands but unfortunately won't be going again. Ordered the fish and chips, two large cod and chips with a curry sauce for my wife, cost verf £20. Waited over 30 minutes and then saw the girl wrap up two large cod and chips so thought they must be mine. She went off to the back and I heard someone say we've run out of curry sauce I am making some more. 15 minutes later she get some curry sauce and puts them with the fish and chips she wrapped 15 minutes earlier and left on the counter to go. She gestures me to say this is yours. I replied your kidding, they will be cold by now you left them out and wrapped for over 15 minutes. So 45 minutes later piping hot curry sauce and freezing cold fish and chips on a cold November night. Didn't even warm up well in the microwave so wouldn't go again. Even worse they deleted my accurate criticism on Facebook rather than reply and accept the comments but will improve staff training to inject some common sense before taking fish and chips out the heater and wrapping them so felt compelled to give feedback
