I accidentally came across this hidden gem while passing through Pontypridd, and wow, what a find! I had the rissole in batter, and it was hands down the best I’ve ever eaten. Crispy on the outside, full of flavour inside, just perfect. Honestly, the only downside is that it’s now ruined all other rissoles in batter for me... nothing else comes close! They had a range of curries. I tried the Chinese curry, which was delicious and packed with flavour. Everything tasted fresh and cooked with care. But what really made the visit was the amazing lady behind the counter, she was so friendly, chatty, and just genuinely lush. You don’t get that kind of warm, personal service everywhere. Even the customers were lovely, it felt like walking into a little community. They don’t take card, so I had to nip across the road to get cash back... which meant I had to buy a bottle of wine. Which I wasn’t happy about (wink, wink)! I didn't even know this place was there, but now I'd happily go out of my way just to eat there again. If you're anywhere near Pontypridd, do not miss The Codfather! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
