We had a wonderful time at the Theatreland Afternoon Tea at the Waldorf. From the moment we made our reservation, the experience felt thoughtful and personalized. We really appreciated being able to let the kitchen know about dietary restrictions and celebrations ahead of time. We also requested a table near the harp, and the staff was more than happy to accommodate us. I enjoyed the Blue Velvet and Peppermint teas. I had afternoon tea here a few years ago, and one small thing I missed was that they used to come around at the end offering extra sandwiches, which they no longer do. I was a little disappointed to see that tradition gone, but it certainly didn't take away from the overall experience. The service was exceptional, the atmosphere was elegant, and every detail made the afternoon feel special. The staff truly go above and beyond to create a memorable experience. If you're looking for a classic London afternoon tea, I would highly recommend the Afternoon Tea at the Waldorf. Meal type: Other Price per person: £60–70 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had booked afternoon tea here and made a special note that I cannot have dairy. The restaurant was able to accommodate me with a vegan menu. The starter and finger sandwiches were very nice; however, the desserts and scones were incredibly unsatisfactory. Two out of four of my desserts were still frozen. After being replaced, not only were they still frozen, but one had split. The scones were very dense and hadn't risen at all, to the point where I was not convinced it was fully cooked. I have had both vegan and non-vegan scones before and these were not up to standard. A supermarket could do better. Servers were inattentive so I could not get a new plate before my group needed to leave. The rest of my group had the regular menu and enjoyed their experience. I would not recommend the Homage at all for a vegan/dairy-free afternoon tea at all. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

Everything was truly wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I appreciated the warm atmosphere during the afternoon tea. The staff was so kind, and the food was absolutely delicious. Manuel and Maria B especially went above and beyond, they genuinely made me feel cared for. I’m already looking forward to returning next time to enjoy such a lovely experience again.
