So happy to have ended up at the Coopers Inn - trying to find a place serving food at 8.40pm on a bank holiday monday was proving difficult, we'd had a long bike ride to a place we'd been told they'd still be serving when we arrived but when we got there we were told the kitchen was closed (we were a tad grumpy as we'd specifically called before to ensure we'd get fed, and we arrived early, but nope). We were 10 mins away from the Coopers Inn so we rang them to see if they were still serving and were told they were until 9pm. We said we'd probably want burgers and would be with them before 9 and when we arrived the burgers were already cooking, food was in front of us within 5 mins of ordering and it was the best burger and chips ever!!! Epic service with the biggest smile! Thank you Coopers Inn for looking after us so well! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I have been going to coopers for years I even started off my 18th birthday there with breakfast nearly 9 years ago and up until now have not once been disappointed with the food or service. However this time was a completely different experience. I had been raving on about coopers to my partner for months about how the food compared to much higher classed restaurants at a fraction of the cost. I have never been more embarrassed by a recommendation in my life. The only reason I have given 2 stars is that one member of staff managed to pull it up from 1. I believe her name was Amy and she was working behind the bar. The table service was appalling and we were left waiting with no clue as to weather we would order at the bar on the app or at our table. And with only two other people eating in we thought it would be apparent that we were left in the dark. Nether the less we ordered our food through the app in the end. Our starters came and no issues as of yet. Then the mains followed brought out by a staff member that clearly had no interest in being there which felt abundantly clear. My partners steak was way over cooked from what had been asked and my chicken was dry as anything. After our mains we were left waiting for an hour for our desert. (Which was cheesecake, it literally needed taking out of the fridge/freezer) and there was no sight of it until we actually had to get up and ask staff whether it would be coming. The bar tender then chased it up for us and 5 minutes later we were basically presented with a solid block of frozen cheesecake that we couldn’t eat so had to take away in containers instead. I wondered why it was so quiet on arrival and however if this is the new standard at coopers then I am not surprised.
